Welcome

My interest in photography started as a youngster and by my teenage years I had a darkroom for developing black and white films and making prints. Early on, my camera was a Graflex Speed Graphic that accepted both sheet and roll film. After that, the cameras, which used film for slides and negatives, included double lens (120 mm) and single lens (35 mm), and were reflex or viewfinder; most or perhaps all of these had an exposure meter but the early ones could only be operated manually. Beginning in 2005, I switched to digital full frame reflex and then mirrorless (APSC and medium format).

This website displays images of a wide range of subjects taken in the USA and internationally. My photography interests include people, ancient sites, wild animals, art, old churches and other architecture, memorials, still lifes, and landscapes.

Travel — domestic and international, personal and professional — has been part of my life for decades. Thus, I have been fortunate to capture images in over half the USA’s states and almost 70 countries. As of going online in 2025, the Subjects galleries collectively have photos from about 10 states and over 30 countries.

The images currently on the website are almost all from 2005 to the present and were taken using digital cameras. The contents will expand to include images of additional places and subjects and from earlier years in which I used film cameras. Among the additions will be street life and other images taken on slide film in the PRC in the early 1980’s.

I have for several years considered how to share, beyond my friends and family, my images. Hopefully, you will enjoy the selections currently shared through this website, as well as those that will be added over time.
